Summary
Our software development team members are critically important to the strength of our business and our ability to deliver as a company. We are seeking a software developer that is technically sound and knows how to communicate while contributing to a team effort across multiple projects. We want our developers to feel empowered to do their best work, which sometimes means pushing back. We encourage all of our team members to play an active role in developing products relative to their expertise. As a member of the software development team this person will be responsible for contributing technical expertise in product development, collaborating with a cross-functional team to organize and prioritize relevant work, and committing high quality code that can scale and grow on multiple projects. We hold our software development team to high standards of professionalism, integrity, and technical prowess. We equally hold ourselves to a high standard of taking care of our team members and providing an environment for everyone to do their best work while building a prosperous life.
Required Experience
- Must be comfortable with Git and GitHub
- Extensive experience with PHP and MySQL
- Extensive experience with WP development. Need to have built and be able to point to custom plugins you maintain.
- Significant WooCommerce experience. Must be able to explain the actions/filter/hook system and issues you’ve had to solve in the past.
- Significant DevOps (AWS) experience using the following or equivalent technologies: Web Servers, DNS, CDNs, Continuous Integrations (CI), Security and Performance Management
- Experience with page speed optimization, database indexing, and profiling (with Blackfire.io or similar tool)
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
- Experience conducting cross-browser and cross-device testing
- Experience converting comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
- An eye for detail and a commitment to quality work

- Proficient with Laravel
- Proficient with TailwindCSS
- Proficient with Livewire
- Proficient with Node.js
- Proficient with Vue.js, React.js, or similar modern javascript framework
- Exposure to Alpine.js
